Posted by Recently we attended the Microsoft Build Tour event held at Luna Park in Sydney. These events give us a chance to keep up with the latest and greatest information coming out of the Redmond giant. Some of the more recent advancements from Microsoft will have an affect on how you interact with technology in coming years with products such as:
- Windows 10 - this is the platform on which Microsoft will build its entire future. Your Desktop, Phone, Xbox, Hololens (the kids are crazy for Minecraft on this!) and IoT (Internet of Things) programs are all built upon the Windows 10 platform and share the same development but with custom application experience.
- Microsoft Azure - cloud computing platform and services. Chances are your business may already be hosting, storing data or using Microsoft Azure services (or other providers such as Amazon) already. The opportunities here are exciting and something we will be looking into going forward.
- Microsoft Office - everyone's favorite productivity tools. With Microsoft bringing Office to iOS, Android and the web this platform continues to grow and enhance your business.
Technology is constantly changing, evolving and enhancing our everyday lives. For us at One Plus One we need to continue to look towards opportunities coming. Whilst business is always slower to adopt these changes they will eventually and we need to be ready. Windows XP even though no longer supported, continues to drag down application opportunities - for now easyFBT needs to continue supporting the platform but it does stop us from providing new and better experiences.
Now Microsoft has moved towards a new centralised, consistent platform with Windows 10 (across a range of hardware) we are looking forward to the future and how easyFBT might be able to leverage it to your benefit.
