Development of easyFBT 2015 is nearly completed and will be available for download and purchase soon. Not a lot of big changes happening in this upcoming release but a number of things are happening to support the eventual integration of online electronic lodgement (Standard Business Reporting 'SBR') this year.
With this in mind some key changes include:
- Updating the Preliminary: FBT Return entry area to better cater for specific SBR lodgement codes. Therefore Titles (for individual name entries) and Country if outside Australia now provide a drop-down selector containing the SBR approved names so we can collect and use the associated codes required by SBR.
- Rollover of the Preliminary: FBT Return area will review the above fields to ensure that they are correct and matched to the corresponding SBR names. If we cannot find a match then these fields will be cleared and you will need to re-select these manually in your 2015 entity.
Other changes include:
- Introduction of a Salary Sacrificed benefit? field across various workpapers that cater for the new In-House Fringe Benefits rules to assist in the reporting of these types of benefits correctly.
- Dialog and form changes to cater for scaling and users of larger fonts in Microsoft Windows (this change was completed after the forms build of easyFBT 2014 and has been carried forward to the 2015 version).
- Added the ability to rollover the Board workpaper now that these benefits can be identified as ongoing with the new date fields added in the 2014 version.
- Added the ability to rollover the status of Flagged Rows for benefits that roll forward.
- Added the ability to import the Flagged field to flag rows that you import where required.

Car (Vehicles) workpaper changes to Cost of Vehicle entry columns – this is now prefilled with the Base Value of Car entry.

Changes in the Car Parking workpaper now requires entry of the Date From and Date To fields with defaults entered as start and end FBT year dates.
